FINN Partners is looking for a recent graduate to join our Detroit office as an Account Coordinator. We’re looking for candidates with six months of relevant internship experience in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field who thrives in a fast-paced environment and consistently meets deadlines. Experience and/or a passion for Automotive, B2B, Technology clients is a plus. Applicants must reside in the Detroit Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities
- Manage and support multiple client accounts by executing core public relations, digital, and marketing activities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive, targeted media lists tailored to each client’s industry and objectives
- Collaborate with team members to pitch stories and secure placements in both traditional and social media outlets
- Monitor, analyze, and report on media coverage related to client news, industry developments, and competitor activity, providing actionable insights to inform strategy
- Research and identify key trade and business journalists, as well as relevant influencers, to strategically support targeted media outreach and relationship-building efforts
- Stay current and actively engaged with traditional and social media channels relevant to client industries to inform proactive communication strategies
- Draft, proofread, and edit client-facing materials—including media pitches, press releases, and meeting summaries
- Prepare initial drafts of client updates and communications, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and professionally presented
Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of internship experience in public relations or a related marketing communications field (agency experience a plus)
- Possesses a solid understanding of public relations, social media, and integrated marketing communications strategies, with the ability to apply them effectively across diverse client initiatives
- Consistently exhibit strong writing and editing skills, producing clear, concise, and well-tailored content that aligns with each client’s voice and tone. Work is polished, error-free, and client-ready, requiring minimal revisions.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and great at follow-up. You thrive in the fast-paced work environment and easily keep track of many moving parts.
